Hi there, my name is Carly, and I’m an NJ native, mom and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
I specialize in pregnancy loss, infertility, and birth trauma. I am a certified Reproductive Mental Health Specialist, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level 2 (CCTP-II).
I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you can feel safe to explore what’s holding you back and begin the process of meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and calming, grounding techniques to help you build insight and practical tools.
In our early sessions, we’ll focus on building trust and understanding your goals. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, grief, trauma, emotional ups and downs, or simply feeling stuck, my priority is to meet you where you are and walk with you toward growth and healing.
The Approach
I utilize evidence-based techniques like CBT, ACT, and DBT to help clients with pregnancy loss, birth trauma, and fertility challenges. My focus is on creating a supportive and collaborative space for growth and healing.
Qualifications
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and have extensive training in evidence-based practices and specialize in helping clients navigate complex emotional experiences related to mental health. I am certified in Reproductive Mental Health, which means I have specialized training in supporting individuals and families through fertility challenges, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, pregnancy loss, and the emotional complexities of reproductive and hormonal changes across the lifespan. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), which means I have advanced training in understanding the neurobiological, emotional, and relational impacts of complex trauma and am equipped to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed care to support healing and long-term recovery.
Philosophy
I believe that healing begins with understanding and compassion. My practice is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am committed to empowering parents, and those who aim to become parents, by helping them build emotional awareness, regulate difficult feelings, and develop the tools needed for lasting change. Through collaborative, evidence-based care, I aim to guide clients toward greater self-understanding and a more fulfilling, balanced life.

Commitment
I am dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, and I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and compassion. In our work together, clients are encouraged to explore their thoughts and emotions openly, build practical and sustainable coping skills, and move toward their personal goals with clarity and confidence.
By offering remote sessions, I aim to remove common barriers to care and make therapy more accessible and convenient. Virtual therapy allows clients to engage in meaningful work from the comfort and privacy of their own environment, creating flexibility that supports consistency and long-term growth.
Values
At CAU Psychotherapy, I value empathy, confidentiality, and client-centered care. The goal is to empower clients with practical tools and a strong therapeutic relationship to build resilience and promote healing.
